4 days/ 3 nights

Classic tour

from 519 USD/ pax

The lights of Myanmar are ever bewitching as it is amazing: the gold-clad pagodas of Yangon doesn’t shine much brighter than the Golden Rock at the holy land Kyaiktiyo.

Wonder what awaits you in your coming 4-day Yangon & Kyaiktiyo tour?
  • Yangon’s pagodas heavily ornate with gems and gold
  • A chance to touch the revered Golden Rock of Kyaiktiyo
  • A visit to the huge Buddhist monuments characteristic of Bago

Arrival at Yangon airport, warmly welcomed by our well-experienced guide then transfer to hotel. Start your city tour to the center of Yangon to be immersed into the charming colonial city:
– Visit Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda and its great Reclining Buddha whose colossal stature
– When the sun moves slowly westward, stroll along China Town housing decrepit colonial buildings, an abundance of small shops and street vendors.
– End the day with an extended visit to the Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the world’s most spectacular religious monuments, rises up to 99 meters. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Departure for Kyaiktiyo located 200 km south of Yangon, in the Mon state. You will enjoy driving through Burmese countryside and admire the peaceful landscapes. On arrival, take a truck on a winding road (about 1 hour to 1h30) to go to the top and then climb to the Golden Rock by a narrow and winding path used by pilgrims. Situated at 1000 meters above sea level, the huge rock, popularly known as the Golden Rock, gleams golden atop a cliff with a stupa on the top. A mystical legend referring the reason why the great rock has not fallen down to the foot of the cliff seems very inspirational to visitors. Overnight at hotel in Kyaiktiyo.

After breakfast at your hotel, drive to Bago before heading back to Yangon. Originally located at the edge of the eponymous river, Bago was the capital of the Mon kingdom for centuries and has undergone many vicissitudes. Take time to visit the imposing Shwemawdaw Pagoda whose golden stupa is up to 114m, higher than that of the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon. Then have a watch on the large reclining Buddha Shwethalyaung which dates back to the 10th century. Next, drop in a handicraft village and discover the workshops around with colorful souvenirs if time permits. Arrive Yangon in the afternoon. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Depending on your schedule, transfer to airport for your departure flight.
