Embark on a thrilling ride through the Land of Temples and Towers and explore its down-to-earth side as you board a bamboo train or drift towards the horizon on Tonle Sap.
Arrive at Siem Reap Airport, welcomed by our guide and transferred to your hotel. Depend on your arrival time, our guide will give some suggestions including: relaxing ‘blind massage’, have a glimpse of Cambodian history at landmine museum, even take a foretaste of temples of Angkor, or take some rest at hotel after long flight. Get up early and catch the stunning sunrise before visiting the magnificent temples complex of Angkor. Start at the famous South Gate of Angkor Thom, then visit the famous Bayon, the spectacular central temple which represents the intersection of heaven and earth. Continue to visit: the Royal Enclosure, the Elephant Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King. Stop at Ta Prohm, the beautiful crumbling temple, bound by massive roots of huge trees.
Afternoon, visit Srah Srang and Prasat Kravan before head to Angkor Wat – the biggest religious monument ever constructed on earth in a special style. Spend the last moment of the day enjoying the sunset in Phnom Bakheng.

After breakfast, departure for the discovery of other temples of Angkor complex. Drive through Angkor Thom to Preah Khan, one of the largest complex of Angkor, a maze of fine carving, large stone stela. Then visit to some ancient temples that dated back between the 10thand 13th century: Banteay Srei, Kbal Spean and Banteay Samre, they are among the most intricate of the whole complex.
Also stop at other temples to admire the architecture and history of Angkor. Come back to the hotel and the rest of the afternoon will be free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Siem Reap.
Leave Siem Reap by road and travel via Sisophon in Banteay Meanchey province, travelling through rice fields and the Cambodian countryside featuring traditional houses. On the way at a silk farm you will see all the steps involved in making silk the traditional way from raising silkworms to weaving the silk and dyeing it. You’ll also stop along the road to meet stone sculptors and watch them at their work. Arriving at your hotel in Battambang around 13.00. After check in your hotel and a short rest, set out to discover the charming town of Battambang, beginning with a tour by local Tuk-Tuk from which you’ll be able to see the elegant colonial French-houses along the river. A visit to the provincial museum and a pretty wooden pagoda precedes your arrival at an 11th century temple, Wat EK Phnom. On the way, help a family make rice pancakes and talk with local Cambodians about their daily life. Back to hotel in the late afternoon. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Early in the morning, we drive through the countryside heading back to Phnom Penh. You’ll see magnificent scenery along the way of rice fields with large sugar palms and many traditional wooden stilt houses. On the road there’s a stop at Kompong Luong where you’ll board a traditional boat. From here you can watch community life on the lake seeing a real floating village. Continuing down the road for about an hour, arrive at Kompong Chhnang where after a walk through the village you will have lunch at a local restaurant (which is quite basic). Arrive at Phnom Penh at the end of the day and check into your hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Day dedicated to explore the beauty of the capital in a traditional cyclo. It will take you to Phnom Penh’s main sights including the Royal Palace, National Museum, Wat Phnom and the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Royal Palace is a complex of buildings which serves as the royal residence of the king of Cambodia. The National Museum is designed in Khmer style in 1917 and contains a collection of Khmer art throughout the ages. Tuol Sleng Museum serves as the testament to the crime of the Khmer Rouge. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
After the pick-up at your hotel, you will start your journey to Koh Dach Island by embarking a local boat. Upon arrival on this 7-kilometer long island, you will disembark your boat and continue your journey by bike. You will quickly realize how the landscape and views are changing from an energetic city to countryside life with farms, wooden houses and small pagodas. You will start the tour right at the pier, take your time and feel free to stop at any time to take pictures or walk around for a while. After around 6 easy-going kilometers without any elevation, you will reach a traditional stilt house that serves as a small restaurant and have a nice lunch break in a relaxed and familiar atmosphere. Here, you can also rest for a while before continuing your journey slowly towards the pier where you will start your return journey back by boat into the colorful city of Phnom Penh.
Wake up and enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and transfer without guide from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville – the Cambodia’s premier beach resort. There are white-sand beaches around the headland, unspoilt islands off the coast and the popular Khal Chhay waterfall near town. Upon arrival, we first go for lunch. You can also relax with the massage supplied by Starfish Project with their experienced blind masseurs, or take the opportunity to keep in touch with your family and friends with their Internet Centre. Afterwards, you will have a whole free afternoon to explore the beaches.
Overnight at Sihanoukville.
Today, enjoy more time at leisure. There is an optional visit and boat ride to Ream National Park (not included). It is an ideal place where we will explore the mangroves by boat and view wildlife on the shore. Spend your night in Sihanoukville.a
Enjoy some time at leisure until your direct transfer without guide to Phnom Penh International Airport for your departure flight. This is also the end of the tour.
